Sustainable success is the apple of most businesses’ eye and hence, business leaders strive to achieve and maintain the same. Chances of achieving such success become much brighter when they have performance-focused people.

And, empowering the people to perform at their best becomes much easier when business leaders understand how to leverage the people power.

Here are the ten peaks to leave your people touched, moved and inspired to do whatever your business expects them to do.

Maintain veracity. Be Transparent. Do not keep any hidden agenda. Performance of your team would be directly proportionate to their trust in the leader – you.

Strengthen your team members. Personal strength makes the individual stronger and strengthened individuals make a stronger team.

Maximize your team’s mental powers. Encourage them to discuss the best ideas publicly. Be open to what each team member has to offer. Bureaucracy is not an option.

Put your team members first than anything else. Also, encourage them to sharpen their saw and then allow them to play the right role for the right requirements.

Develop cozy tying with the team members. Leveraged relationships backed with integrity are what make things happen when nothing else works.

Exhibit confidence. Be courageous. Be open. Welcome change and celebrate new ideas. Make sure to pass credit to the person who had come up with the original idea.

Enjoy your opinions and views challenged. Invite a discussion. While in the discussion, listen. Either, be able to prove your views or understand the differences, make corrections and move on.

Establish and maintain a culture where performance wins over corporate politics or anything else.

Recognize the benefits of focused execution. Empower team members to focus on one MOST important task at a time and let them know and memorize that nothing less than accomplishment would be accepted.

Identify and isolate small projects out of a big project. Hand the responsibilities of the small-projects over to the right team member – by promoting her into a leadership role – so that she and her subordinates are energized.

Performance focused people, better performance. Better performance, better results. Make a better choice!

Power questions: Are your people performance focused? If not, what you can do about it, right now?

What’s the best side of life?

It’s something you’d like to be in. its something that you’d like to hold forever. Its something you’ve had always dreamt about.

So, if you want to really be in the best side of your life then you need to act with that intent. Actions bring consequences and it totally depends upon your belief system.

It all depends upon your belief system. Remember, what you believe is what you get!

Here are a few beliefs which, when practiced will lead you to best side of your life.

Failure is at the far side of success: It doesn’t matter if you haven’t got 95% exam score or you aren’t considered the best sportsperson in your team. What actually matters is persistence. Almost all the successful people have experienced intense failure in their lives… but they’ve persisted… persisted till the success come to them.

Successful is one who embraces changes: Changes are constant and cannot be handled just by sitting aside. Even if you like or don’t you have to changes every single moment. Considering that you’re older than 3 years, today you can not see your version of the time when you were 3 years old… why? Because of change. Time has changed you…and you have accepted it knowing or unknowingly… so why not embrace it?

Will is better than formal education degrees: Neither Bill Gates nor Dhirubhai Ambani got formal education degrees. They had one thing in common. Strong will. They were not bound to what others has created so for… they raised themselves larger than the education systems and created something which was never created before. Point here is to affirm that you’re not limited by degrees or anything. You still have enough potential to make it.

I’ll never grow too old to learn a new thing: Is age anything more than a number? As you grow old, essential is to learn “to unlearn” whatever you have learned so far… you cannot afford to let the ‘child within you’ die.

Thou extraordinary being is me: Each one of us is gifted with a special talent. Those who have identified that talent and leveraged it are recognized as extraordinary persons. You have to just find that unique talent within yourself. Start with this question, “What is one thing that you can do as no one else can?”

The world rotates around me: Its all in your head. Your world is what’s in your head. When you change your thoughts, your world changes. When you start believing in yourself, the world also starts believing in you… this is the secret of law of attraction.

There’s something I can do about it: Understand the great quote by Henry Ford, “When you think you can or you can’t, you’re right!” Law of attraction rocks and the secret is to believe that you’re going to do about it. Something which brings positive change and you’ll find your ways.
